One in every three Internet searches about infections is related to vaccines to prevent them, according to some studies. Other studies indicate that many search engines tend to present more pages with fake news and unreliable data than Google. For these and other reasons, it is vital to use reliable sources with quick and clear answers. It is even better to find everything you need to know in one websiteFuncei informa sobre vacunas (Funcei's Vaccine Information).

“We have developed for all users concise texts and audiovisual material based on the most up-to-date scientific information,” stated Ana Paula Cordero, Communications Coordinator for this project. The site was launched in August 2021, and staff members are actively working to attract more visitors.

The material offered is organized into four sections:

Additionally, physicians, pharmacists, nurses and other healthcare professionals or health-related specialists can subscribe to the free newsletter to stay informed about vaccines.

This website also features a user-friendly design, optimized for touchscreens and mobile devices. “The design adapts to the technical features of any device, such as desktop computers, tablets or smartphones, and also to the needs and behavior of mobile users. The user experience is always positive, regardless of screen size or resolution,” Cordero added. With this in mind, a scrollable vaccination schedule for mobile users has been designed.

The website architecture; content creation, adaptation and management; comprehensive web design; graphic design; and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) are handled exclusively by FUNCEI and FIDEC's Vaccine Workgroup. Cordero is joined by Dr. Hebe Vázquez as Science Coordinator and Dr. Pablo Elmassian, Dr. Cecilia Torroija, Dr. Mercedes Deluca, and Dr. Luján Soler. Presiding this project is Dr. Daniel Stamboulian, with Roxana Stamboulian as Executive Director.
